Description:
There are several test methods that can be used to characterize high frequency materials at microwave frequencies, however there are fewer test methods which can be used to evaluate materials at millimeter-wave frequencies. Each of these test methods has their own set of capabilities and limits. Common test methods which can be used at millimeter-wave frequencies will be discussed and data will be shown with measured results on several different high frequency materials. Some test data shown will illustrate the impact of copper surface roughness as well as final plated finish up to 110 GHz.
