There are multiple variables associated with material properties and PCB fabrication which can impact RF filter performance when using PCB technology.  Material properties, such as anisotropy, need to be considered when designing RF filters in order to get the expected performance. The variation of the copper plating thicknessby the fabricator can alsohave an effect on the RF performance of the filter.  Understanding these variables and others is important for the RF designer to ensure their filter will have the most consistent RF performance possible.
